Coach Honoured

HALIFAX - Louis Melanson, who has coached the New Brunswick junior men's golf champion for six years running, was honoured recently as the Canadian Professional Golf Association Atlantic zone coach of the year.
It was the fifth time, including the last four years in a row, that Melanson, who heads up the Louis Melanson Golf Academy at the Fox Creek Golf Club in Dieppe, has won the honour.
Melanson is also the New Brunswick developmental coach with the Royal Canadian Amateur Golf Association.
Jean Mainville of Scoudouc, this year's junior champion, was coached by Melanson.
Nick Clark of Moncton (2006), Darren Roach of Quispamsis (2006) and Marc Bourgeois of Dieppe (2004, 2003, 2002) are all former champions coached by Melanson.
